Times Up 04: With Stephanie

6 Comments Uncategorized

In January I finally got to meet Stephanie Howell at CHA. (The craft and hobby show in Anaheim.) Meeting online friends in person is such a treat. You feel like you already know them in a way, through blogs, Facebook, Instagram and scrapbooking layouts. She was so fun and cute in person as I’d expected.
I love this banner she put together of her trip to CHA and attached it to a base page to make a layout! I make banners and don’t know what to do with them later when I take them down from display so I love this idea.  Thanks Stephanie!

Times Up: Stephanie Howell
Time to complete- 30
 minutes.
Tip- For a quick and easy layout idea, use tags to make a “clothesline” across your page. I used the “Tag Cuts” patterned paper from the Crate Paper Fourteen collection for my tags. I just cut out the ones I wanted to use, punched holes in them and strung them on some bright Dear Lizzy ribbon.
I then hung the tags across the page and secured the ends of the ribbon with washi tape. The two large tags were used for the photo and the journaling, and the smaller tags became embellishment clusters.
Super easy, super fast, and looks like way more work and time than it actually is!

Times Up 02: with Stephanie

Stephanie is back with another tip for how she gets her layouts done during her daughter’s naptime!

Seriously

Time to complete– 20 minutes, broken into 2 days, 10 minutes each day.

Tip: I made a “kit” of my favorite Dear Lizzy,Basic Grey, and Crate Paper supplies. I picked various embellishments I liked, took them out of the package, and put them in a baggy. When it was time to get to work, I simply pulled embellishments from the bag and surrounded the photo with clusters of the embellishments. Clusters look like more work than they really are, it is an easy way to add visual interest to a layout if you have limited time.  –Stephanie
